Questions and answers

What? Come fish eat drink and relax with us on Galveston Bay to raise money for great causes. There will be a raffle, silent auction, zydeco music, seafood buffet and much more! You do not have to fish to join in on the fun!

When and Where? Friday September 8th at sunrise where the tournament is being held at West End Marina 21706 Burnett road in Galveston, TX West End, Marina is located in sea Isle subdivision in Galveston.

What else? If you plan to fish there is a room block at Moody gardens for our group.

So many questions? Here is the best way to imagine the festivities...

What do I get if I buy a whole boat? Start by putting together a group of agents, friends, clients or family that will join you on a guided fishing trip led by a licensed professional fishing guide who will take you fishing. The guide will provide all the tackle bait and expertise you will need to have a memorable day on the Bay. Expect an early start and plan to be off the water by 12:30 at the latest for the weigh in and party. There will be a grab and go breakfast in the lobby for the fisherman/women drinks and snacks will be provided on the boat for you, so all you must do is show up ready to have a great time! Your entry also provides for a lunch ticket for each fisherman on the boat.

What if I want to fish but can't buy a whole boat? There is an option for an individual spot for $300 and we will put a boat of four fishermen together to form a team same benefits as buying a whole boat.

What if we want to fish out of our own boat? Go for it! You can register to fish using your own boat for $600 and that will also provide you a lunch ticket for the party.

What if I don't wanna fish but I wanna join in on the fun - Come on! You can buy an individual ticket on the site that includes your lunch ticket there will be lots of festivities, food, fun and beverages to keep you entertained. Seeing the fish coming to the weight-in is always a great time and the weather is forecast to be perfect that day. Thursday night tickets are available on this site or at the door at a limited supply.    

What if I can't make it? You can bid on the silent auction on this site.  Purchase a raffle ticket at your local Gary Greene Real Estate branch office or on this site please look at the prizes and buy a book of five for $20.

What's the deadline? We have 45 boats to fill by August 25th, 2023 and lots of interest in this event, get signed up ASAP.

What do I need to bring? Texas saltwater fishing licensed (at least one day) small ice chest for your day's catch, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, light jacket, shoes that do not have black soles.

What will the fishing guide provide? Rods, reels and fishing tackle. Feel free to bring your own rod and reel if you wish, all bait will be provided.

Will it be able to see land the entire time on the boat? YES!

Do I need a fishing license? Yes! Anyone planning to participate in the tournament will require at least a one day saltwater fishing license. They can be purchased at https://tpwd.texas.gov/regulations/outdoor-annual/licenses/fishing-licenses-stamps-tags-packages/fishing-licenses-and-packages.  Look for the One-Day All Water license, it costs $11. Or purchase at any local Academy Dick's Sporting Goods, you should purchase in advance. 

How much is a one day saltwater fishing license? $11

How long will we be fishing for? You must be in the weigh-in line no later than 12:30.

How many fishermen are on each boat? 4 fishermen per boat plus the fishing guide.  You do have the option to purchase the entire boat and have anywhere between one to four anglers.  

Are non-fishermen allowed to ride on the boat? No, only the four fishermen are allowed to go out on the boat.

If I have a friend attending the tournament as well can we be put on the same boat?  Yes, please send all requests to jena.adili@garygreene.com and we will try to accommodate the request as best as we can, requests must be in by Thursday August 31st, 2023.

What if the weather is bad and we can't go out on the water? The tournament director reserves the right to cancel in case of inclement weather. If the tournament is cancelled due to inclement weather all updates will be posted to the home page on the website by 10:00 PM on Thursday September 7th. Entrants are responsible to verify the tournament is not cancelled.

So what if the tournament is cancelled due to bad weather? We will look to reschedule at a later date.

If I win the raffle, do I have to be physically present to obtain my prize? No, anyone can enter the raffle whether you are at the tournament or not. You will be notified that you have won and will be given instructions on how to procure your prize.
